Academics
Loyola University Chicago offers a wide range of academically rigorous courses grounded in the Jesuit tradition of ethical leadership, critical thinking, and global awareness. As an exchange student, you’ll have access to nationally recognized faculty, small class sizes, and diverse disciplines across multiple campuses.
- Students will need to connect with their home institution’s mobility officer to determine what courses are best suitable for their academic needs. Exchange students can view available courses as a guest user through our integrated, Web-based student information system, LOCUS.
- Each course is typically 3 credits and exchange students will take 12 to 18 credits per semester. Loyola uses the U.S. semester credit hour system. Generally, 3 U.S. semester credit hours equals 6 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits.
